Fifth Entry

Since I almost finished my semester, now I view Critical Literacy still as the hard subject for me for this semester but I believe that I now understand what Critical Literacy is about and know the right way to get a meaning or understand the article. I also believe that I can do rules of ten better than when the first time I learned Critical literacy since Critical literacy is to encourages individuals to understand and question the attitudes, values, and beliefs of written texts, visual applications, and spoken words. So I think now I’m better in writing my belief. My hope for this subject is, they will reduce the amount of assignment or article in each assignment because as known in the first assignment we need to submitted three articles over four and it’s quite hard for us to finish it because we just started learn this particular subject. After that, I also do hope that they can reduce amount of presentation because students are bored with the same material and we end up doesn’t learned anything.

Forth Entry

Preposition: Life is a mere illusion and just like the world is a stage as we use it as a stepping stone for a showcase of our talents.

I do agree with the statement that life is a mere illusion and world is a stage that we use as a stepping stone.  I believe that, we as human lived at this world were not long-lasting because we will die one day and go to our real place at the hereafter. We a human just owe this world from our creatures. From the research that I found from daily mail, the author state that  ” the universe doesn’t exist if we stop looking at it”. It is because the famous theory in quantum mechanics which argues that a particle’s past behavior changes based on what we see.

Human just a puppets who play roles in this world. All things that happens in our live has been decided by our creatures, for example we would meet with someone, died, fall in love. That thing was decided by our creatures since we not created yet.

" The latest incident about BFM newsreader being threatened with death, rape and being burnt alive by those I assume to be Malay-Muslim netizens brings forth serious questions for this country. Is this country safe for our children to live in? If a simple point is raised such issue such as Hudud or even such issue such as democracy and clean elections can produce outburst of murder, rape and burning people alive, what, does it say about our country, it citizens and our leadership. "

• How do you view above statements?

From my opinion, I view statements by Prof Dr Muhammad Tajuddin Mohammad Rasdi as bias statement to Kelantan or too be more specific to PAS.  To support my opinion, Kelantan is the state that bring out the issue that Hudud should be compulsory in this country and her daughter Siti Aishah , the BMF newsreader recently make video to talked about Hudud and  she also questioning people either Hudud can  fill out our rice bowl? But unfortunately she got a threatened. Prof Dr Muhammad Tajuddin Mohammad Rasdi, assume that those people who threaten her daughter is from Malay-Muslim citizen and questioning either Malaysia are safe to our country to live in. In my opinion , I thinks he should not put 100% blame on Muslim citizen due to threatened that her daughter got because her daughter itself put an anger to Muslim citizen when she make a video that seems like she’s playing with our religion. It’s not about raised again some issue then can outburst a murder or rape and something but the questioning here they are a Muslim and they playing around with Islam can it be accepted?.

Second Entry

Women Shouldn't be behind the wheel

 Based on my understand one example of the stereotypes is when you see races or individuals together and make a judgment about them without knowing them. 

As what we can see clearly today, men are strong and do all the work, women are not as smart as men, this is an example  of gender remarks which are uncommon to the ears. I will touch " Women shouldn't be behind the wheel ". Female styles of driving or how female drivers drive still is a controversial debate. The problem tends to become more simple in case you ask for a men's point of view. Women are slow, hesitant and unpredictable. Women are less at fault in car accidents than men and this is because it is generally believed that women tend to drive more carefully and at lower speeds than the opposite sex.Women are hesitant and unpredictable, that fit in this category are either beginners in driving or don't know the route. No matter how difficult the situation is, they should learn and master it because if men can, why can't they?

What we should keep in mind before judging a female driver is that no matter how hesitant, slow and unpredictable, one should be aware that driving is first of all a high responsibility.

Let's start the first post with a quote " if you believe in yourself, nothing is impossible " this word gave me positive impact about this critical literacy subject.

Start from this semester I am learning one  of the toughest subject as been said by the lecturer and seniors that have taught and learned this subject respectively. For the first time I got the critical literacy's book, I went through the book,  I am surprised in the book's content especially that 4 article assignments. I was trying to understand the 4 article for our first assignment and reading the rule of 10. But sadly, I did not do well for the first assignment because I started last minute work on it. Trust me, if you are doing critical literacy assignment last minute it doesn't work because you will never get enough sleep for 3 days as what I have been told and as a reminder by our Madam Za. That's give me lesson. Moreover, this subject is really challenging subject because it teaches us critical thinking, It related with our life and also helps us to become more open minded.

In my opinion, I hope I can understand and master this subject to have a good critical thinking.
